I am in Seattle visiting the Special Collections Library of the University of Washington Library, home to the Van Buskirk journals. Here are some images of the first three volumes, including one from 1853 that was lost and therefore never microfilmed. I will be scanning it on Monday for our transcribers. These images will eventually find a home in an image library on the site. Included here also is a portrait of Van Buskirk—the only one I know of.
